Halfway!!

1.  How did you find out you were pregnant? - I just had that 'take a test' feeling. The positive sign came up so fast I forgot to dump my pee out of the cup. My poor husband found it later on in the day and thought it was juice. Whoopsies!!

2. When you found out you were pregnant how many tests did you take? Only 3 ;)

3. How many weeks were you when you found out? - Just barely! Around 5 weeks

4. Who was the first person you told you were pregnant besides your partner?- The best friend of course! I sent her the same picture I sent my hubs.

5.  How many weeks are you now? 20!! Halfway- wahoooo!

6. Boy or Girl?- It's a sweet baby GIRL!!

7.When is your due date?- August 10th. Oh man. It's going to be a hot summer

8. Cravings?- Anything sweet. When I lay in bed at night and try to fall asleep, I just think of what I can go eat. I could out eat anyone right now ;)

9. What do you miss? Swimsuits. And having coffee every morning. When I got pregnant it just never sounded good anymore.

10. How much weight have you gained? Only 7 pounds!! I gained way too much weight with my first 2 babies.  I'm hoping to not get over 25. Wishful thinking?

11. Do you have a name picked out? What? I do! Ryan- not so much. He doesn't love the name I do. So we'll see ;)

12. Is the child being named after someone? Her middle name will be. My grandma would be proud :)

13. Who is going to be with you during delivery? I think it'll be my parents and Ryan. That's how it's always been.

14. What was the first thing you bought for baby? Before I even knew she was a girl- I started getting headbands. It's kind of a problem. She may or may not already have 15. Ish ;)

Here's to another quick 20 weeks!! We are so excited and can't wait to meet this little girl

A Little Box of Sunshine

A good friend of mine has been battling thyroid cancer for the past two years.  This week she had surgery for the second time.  A friend and I wanted to take her something besides the usual bouquet of flowers.  I went searching on Pinterest and found this cute idea HERE. So we made our own version of this Get Well Soon Gift. Thankfully it's Easter and the Dollar store at Target had a lot of yellow items.

Little He or Little She Gender Reveal Party

I was lucky enough to have my best friend and sister throw a gender reveal party for me. I knew that since this is our last baby I wanted to find out what we were having in a really fun and cute way. So the planning began! I was part of most of it, helping where I could but I didn't want to find out until everyone else at the party found out. Two days before the party we went and had the ultrasound done. After the ultrasound I was dying knowing that Christy and Caleigh knew what it was and I still had no idea!! I swear it was a long two days. Saturday came and our closest friends and family came over to find out what the baby was. There were 25 black balloons filled with either pink or blue confetti. Everyone grabbed a balloon and stick and on the count of three we all popped them at the same time. That is a moment I know I will never forget. It was amazing. Pink and white confetti went everywhere! I freaked out, jumped up and down, and cried my eyes out with Kennedy. Ryan was super excited, but our poor Jagger wanted a brother so dang bad. He sat on Ryan's lap for a good 10 minutes with the saddest look on his face. Poor little guy!! He's finally ok with having another sister ;)

The very talented Tiffany from Tiffany Collins Design designed the adorable invitation.

Sticking with the mustache and lip theme of the party Christy bought cookie cutters from CookieCutter.com and made our favorite sugar cookies.  Click HERE for the recipe.

For the lips and mustache straws we used glitter paper and found a template online to use as a stencil. We used a hole punch and viola you have an adorable straw topper.

Ann from Crowshaw Cakes made this gorgeous ruffle cake as well as these adorable fondant lips and mustache cup cake toppers.

We set up a voting station where all the guest could cast their votes. Tiffany made the little ballot cards for all of the guests. We used the ribbon banner from an old project, The Mimosa Bar. We spray painted plastic balloon sticks to tie the banner to.

For the big reveal we bought bamboo skewers to pop the balloons. For an extra touch Christy spray painted them gold, pink and blue.

Poor Jagger was so sad he didn't get a brother. He sat with Ryan and put his head down for a good 10 minutes.

It's a GIRL!

We couldn't be more excited to be having a little girl!! Thank you to everyone who came and made the day so memorable- especially Christy and Caleigh. I love you guys!!
